Brilliant!
As used by legendary composer, Barry Gray (James Bond theme, Thunderbirds). Gray used it on the soundtrack to the Gerry Anderson film, "Journey To The Far Side Of The Sun"……
Thanks for posting, very, very interesting instrument, I'm sure it also influenced another legend, Dr. Robert Moog……..
I think it was the music of a TV program… maybe Star Trek.
4.33 to 4:40
one of the best parts of the whole work. it is known as the loved theme. very tragic sounding no? messiaen used 3 of these instruemtns in his opera=fab

what a refreshing discovery ive stumbled upon here. this would broaden my musical horizan. i want one.
que ganas de experimentar con este bichito…, donde lo compro?
A great video demonstration of this lovely vintage instrument!
Please don't forget the Novachord too – this was a 1/4 ton, 163 tube, 100% electronic 72 note polyphonic proto-synth from 1939 which was decades ahead of it's time.
Do a search for Novachord Video if you are interested in seeing a recently restored example of this super rare instrument in action.
Totally love that cello sound @ 4:00
@PimpinBassie2 best part! sounds awesome
I really want to get one of these!!! How rare are they? How much do they cost??
I demand one for me birthday
Awesome! Somebody take these people out for a mocha AND a pastry!
I. Want. One.
FELICITATIONS – ê. VIDEO +++
FELICITATIONS . JE VOUS AI ADRESSE UNE VIDEO PERSO. MERCI DE VOTRE ECOUTE.
ok
I'd give anything to play this during Turangalîla!
The vibrato feature is brilliant! String player meets keyboardist. Pure genius of instrument design, all from 1928. There is nothing new under the sun.
fantastic!!
Now I see where the seaboard got its inspiration from; what a splendid instrument^^
It sometimes sounds like a theremin…wat a great sound…
Any idea where I can buy one of these?
Does anyone know the price of this instrument? I cant find it anywhere online…
are there any reasons why they settle with the left hand controlling the tone and not some kind of foot pedal?
2019 y me parece un instrumento increíble
