Have you thought of doing a podcast with these pieces?
Sometimes I want to listen to these on my commutes, but I don't have the computer/phone on me to do that.
come on….
I mean no disrespect, but these atonal composers are absolute rubbish. They deserve no recognition whatsoever, in my books. What has happened to the lush, lyrical melodies, and the thoughtful, evoking notes.
Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert, Chopin, Brahms, Liszt, Schumann, &c. churn in their graves at the thought of such bestiality.
f!"#ck you! for each time each art
I think that music evolves. You want the music is always as is the music of Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert, Chopin, Brahms, Liszt, Schumann? If you have no capacity to understand this evolution, you should not show your ignorance. If you can not understand, not judge.
BESTIALITY – YOU'RE LOOKING IN THE WRONG PLACE.
Another wonder from the genius of Jolivet!
This is ahead of its time…Can you imagine what people then thought when they heard this. Prohibition at its best.
Is this really the sequence on the record? Because in the sheet music, it's 1. Ondes, 2. Sérimpie, and 3. Chant d'oppression…
Great performance of the Loriod sisters!
This is an early score of Jolivet, written at a time when the Ondes Martenot were a new instrument of a new type and raised the interest of many composers. To be honest, Jolivet is not still himself in these three poems, but they are interesting and worthy to be listened to.
This work seems to me more interesting and satisfying than his concert for Ondes Martenot and orchestra.
Shame about the poor recording quality (clipping at the beginning, especially). Cool piece though.
He is a total genius!!!
