Girl, YOU are too amazing for words. So impressed! 3
call the glock david
good music!
Technically it is not a xylophone. Xylophones are made of wood. Always. Hence the xylo- prefix. This is a glockenspiel. Good cover, though. Just not a xylophone by any means… As a mallet percussionist, this irks me… So much. Dunno why.
Being a percussionist, I'm sorry to say that it's not a xylophone, that's a glockenspiel or known as the bells. But otherwise, great video
Giver her a break. in vid title it's called a glockenspiel With several generations growing up with toys that where called xylophone most are going to slip up and say xylophone even if the know that technically it's a glockenspiel. Keep at it Ashley as you improve perhaps you can create arrangements to play rock classics on the glockenspiel
well done, really geat cover!

Hey, you look like you might be self taught and that rocks! You are doing great, but I wanted to tell you to watch a free videos of how people hold their hands while playing. It'll help you a lot and make it easier. Good luck! 🙂
Stop calling it a xylophone it's a glokenspiel
Actually good for being self-taught. Just work on alternating mad and your grip. A little smoother on the glissandoes(?) would help too.
you could probably name it "glockenspiel".
the girls got rythum m/ 0 ii 0 m/ yay : )
Hey Ash, That was pretty darn good. Keep it up. I think youd like a lady by the name of Ruth Underwood. Check her performance on the master Composer and Rock Legend Frank Zappa's "Inca Roads" . You should also check out (Dame) Evelyn Glennie. who was rendered profoundly deaf at age 12 yet still managed to become one of the world's top percussionists. Good luck sis X
CAN I HAVE THE NOTES/CHORDS OF THIS MUSIC PLEASE.. THANK YOU… YOU ARE AWESOME BTW…
Ur an natural
I don't want to be rude but that's not a xylophone and it just bothered me that you said that bc I just joined drumline so im like drumline crazy right now
also this is very good, you should look into learning how to properly play the glock because you would be great at it
ELEFANTASTIC,Ashley, Dear 🙂 (Y) !!!
But was is the name of that rhythm-machine…???
Thanks 4 ur "repleye" 😉
Sunny.
What backing track are you using? Do you have a link for it?
so many music elitists in the comments…. guys chill out. anyway this was really nice to listen to!
i ordered this not too long ago and it hasn't arrived… does anyone know what material the mallets are made of?
where would be a cheap place to buy wooden mallets?
I'm triggered
To be named xylophone it should have bars of wood normally. And higher pitched than marimbas. What you have is a glockenspiel or Klokkespill in Norwegian. It is higher pitched than vibraphone that also has metal bars. you have also some deeper pitched instruments metallophones which is not regarded as clockenspiel. Vibraphone has long resonator tubes, and a damper pedal. And also a rotating valve for making the sound vibrate.
By the way you seem to have good grasp on the playing.
