J.S. Bach’s Organ Concerto in A minor, BWV 593 (an arrangement of Vivaldi’s Concerto Op. 3/8 RV522 for violin), arranged again by me for clavichord.
This arrangement is available from Lulu.com. In the search field, type «Vivaldi/Bach» or «BWV 593» and you will see both a free PDF download, and an inexpensive printed paper-cover version.
For more information about this instrument, contact the builder, Jack Peters, at http://www.jackpeters.com/. This is a replica of a fretted clavichord built in Frankfurt around 1670 by Israel Gellinger. The naturals are made of olive wood and the accidentals of ebony. This instrument was just built, and I am «breaking it in» for Jack. The clavichord is extremely responsive, and I find its warm, fruity tone to be peculiarly attractive. I made a video of this piece on the little Epinette harpsichord as well, but I think it works much better on the clavichord!
